Responsibilities
As a PCR, you'll be the linchpin of our claims operation — investigating losses, evaluating damage, and guiding policyholders toward prompt and fair resolution. Your day-to-day will include:
Investigate and settle all assigned property damage and liability claims with accuracy and care
Evaluate claims using photos, measurements, Xactimate estimating, and virtual inspection methods
Communicate proactively with policyholders, agents, and internal teams throughout the claims process
Assign claims to Independent Adjusters as appropriate and manage those relationships
Respond promptly to complaints and ensure compliance with the Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act
Advise the Underwriting Department on poor risk exposures identified during claims
Maintain thorough, timely documentation and reporting on all claim files
Mentor and support fellow claims team members as needed
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance claims
Prior experience handling property insurance claims
Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software
Strong working knowledge of building components and construction
Ability to write estimates using virtual inspection techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
Demonstrated customer service excellence and claims investigation ability
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of property claims experience
Deep knowledge of insurance contract language and coverage interpretation
