Director of Music Ministry

The primary work of the Director of Music Ministries is to invite worshippers into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through participation and leadership in music. The DMM is responsible for the Sanctuary Choir and all aspects of preparing and implementing music for worship services. A passion for excellence in varied genres of worship music is essential, as well as the gifts of positive communication, leadership, relationship-building, and administration. A successful DMM will develop and oversee a music ministry that is: vibrant and fully integrated into the worship life of the church engaging and enriching the voice of the whole congregation theologically Reformed, honoring the classical fabric of the church’s music history while balancing styles and embracing a breadth of musical traditions This role is 12 months with an average of 10-12 hours per week (to include 1 hour of staff/worship planning, 2.5 hours of rehearsal, 2.5 hours of Sunday worship, 4-6 hours of administration, visioning, and personal preparation.
