Overview
California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) – JC-513230 - Employee Relations Analyst, ANALYST II Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 4/6/2026. Application Methods: Electronic (CalCareer Account) or By Mail/Drop-off. This position may be extended up to 24 months and may become permanent at a later date. Note: Effective January 1, 2026 CALPIA has been renamed CALCTRA. This position is not located within a prison facility and offers hybrid telework with proximity to Folsom, CA. Responsibilities
The Analyst II will serve as an Employee Relations Analyst responsible for performance management (progressive discipline), including drafting adverse actions, conducting misconduct investigations, and providing consultation and coordination with stakeholders including departmental management, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and the Office of Legal Services.

Minimum Requirements
ANALYST II – Salary range as above. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. The California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) is a self‑supporting state agency that provides productive work opportunities and job skills to incarcerated individuals to reduce recidivism and increase public and prison safety. CALCTRA operates within CDCR facilities. CDCR does not recognize hostages for bargaining purposes. CDCR has a “NO HOSTAGE” policy.
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate. Desirable qualifications are not required but indicate experience/education that would make the candidate most successful: Experience in the progressive discipline process Experience writing reports / compiling data Experience in Human Resources Analytical experience, especially research and understanding and reading regulations Experience with database maintenance / data entry Policy creation and revision experience Experience developing and delivering training
