Field Representative (Lottery)
Field Representatives promote Lottery ticket sales by managing a field sales route with daily sales calls and merchandising at Retailer locations. Field Representatives are required to: Advise retailers on the effective use of point-of-sale materials Provide game information and marketing techniques Ensure Retailers understand and comply with Lottery policies and procedures Evaluate instant ticket inventory at Retailer locations to be sure an adequate supply of tickets and related supplies Plan and monitor orders with Retailers Retrieve expired game tickets in a timely manner Participate in new Retailer recruitment and special promotional events Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of the Lottery A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) years of field sales experience, involving direct responsibility for servicing established accounts, recruiting new accounts, and monitoring and evaluating sales performance. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and must be available to work adjusted hours if necessary to accommodate Retailer's business hours. A valid Rhode Island, Connecticut or Massachusetts driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent proficiency in computer skills are required. Also, be advised that a new provision in RI General Law 35-6-1 was enacted requiring direct deposit for all employees. At the time the employee is hired, the employee shall identify a financial institution that will serve as a personal depository agency for the employee.
