Baldor Specialty Foods, a leader in premium food distribution, is expanding its Marketing team, with the addition of a Marketing Specialist. Our Marketing team is responsible for raising awareness, favorability and revenue for the company via communication with our core customer segments (restaurants, retailers, national accounts, and distributors). The Marketing Specialist is an early-career marketing professional responsible for managing and executing integrated marketing programs with a focus on trade marketing initiatives and copywriting, along with other general marketing tasks. This role plays an important part in advancing the company's marketing strategy by coordinating with suppliers, developing promotions and revenue-driving campaigns and content, and owning pieces of high-impact brand experiences that strengthen customer engagement and market presence for those suppliers. In addition, this person will provide generalist support across other functions of marketing where needed, from digital to email to events. This person will manage multiple projects simultaneously and exercise independent judgment in prioritizing initiatives and ensuring marketing programs align with business goals. The Marketing Specialist serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, helping translate marketing objectives into actionable plans and successful execution. This position is ideal for a marketing professional who combines strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to operate with a high degree of ownership. The role contributes to shaping how the brand shows up in the market, helping position the company as a premium, innovative leader in food and hospitality through best-in-class marketing programs and experiences. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing and Program Management. This position is hybrid, working a few days per week at our Bronx, NY headquarters. Responsibilities Supplier Trade Marketing Support Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned supplier partners, coordinating marketing priorities, timelines, and deliverables. Work with Manager of Marketing Partnerships to create deliverable packages and contracts for supplier partners Collaborate with the Manager of Marketing Partnerships to develop partnership scopes, marketing packages, and activation plans aligned with business goals. Evaluate marketing opportunities and recommend appropriate channels, placements, and activation tactics based on campaign objectives and available resources. Oversee development and delivery of trade marketing assets, including digital placements, email campaigns, social media, sales materials, and event integrations. Monitor and project manage progress of deliverables and proactively address risks, timeline changes, or resource constraints. Maintain and manage partnership documentation, agreements, performance tracking, and deliverable status. Prepare performance recaps, business review materials, and partner-facing presentations summarizing campaign impact and ROI. Coordinate billing and financial tracking related to partnership agreements in collaboration with finance and leadership. Other Support Manage discrete marketing projects and/or deliverables for internal and external audiences ensuring production is up to team standards and any partner standards Support content lead in writing projects for digital and nondigital assets. Support digital production needs by uploading content to website and search platform and creating landing pages. Contribute to campaign planning by recommending tactics, timelines, and execution approaches. Support the planning and execution of Baldor events, including trade shows, customer events, chef dinners, product launches, and internal events, partnering with creative, content, social, analytics and sales. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, merchandising, and business development teams to align marketing support with commercial initiatives. Track marketing program performance and assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking marketing activities, calendars, and brand assets. Minimum Qualifications 57 years of experience in marketing, partnerships, trade marketing, or event marketing. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders. Passion for food, hospitality, and the food industry. Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow within a marketing organization. Comfortable working in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, and project management tools. Positive, adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
