A boutique national law firm is seeking a Marketing Manager to support and advance strategic growth initiatives across the Los Angeles office. The Business Development & Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Business Development & Marketing and plays a key role in driving strategic marketing and client development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
Partner with the Director of Business Development & Marketing to implement a proactive, strategic business development program aligned with firm priorities.
Support the development and execution of attorney business development plans, including milestone tracking and progress reporting.
Conduct market, client, and competitor research to inform targeted outreach and growth strategies.
Identify and recommend sponsorships, speaking engagements, and visibility opportunities aligned with firm goals.
Draft and coordinate customized pitch materials and RFP responses tailored to specific client opportunities.
Maintain and enhance marketing collateral, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, and website content to ensure accuracy and strategic positioning.
Track and manage business development activities within the firm’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and adoption.
Rankings & Recognition
Lead the preparation and submission of legal directory and industry award nominations, including Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, and other key recognitions.
Events & Integration
Collaborate on planning and execution of client-facing and internal events, including invitation management, collateral development, logistics, and follow-up strategy.
Support strategic and logistical aspects of lateral attorney integration and onboarding.
Manage department projects with clear deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of law firm business development and marketing experience, preferably supporting litigation practices.
Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. or advanced degree preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
Working knowledge of CRM platforms (InterAction experience a plus).
Familiarity with event planning and execution.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with website editing and email marketing tools preferred.

Additional Information
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (Hybrid)
Compensation: $125,000–$185,000 base salary, plus bonus (commensurate with experience)
