The Role

TimelyCare is seeking a Sales Engineer that serves as the bridge between business needs and technical execution—translating institutional challenges into elegant, scalable solutions on our proprietary telehealth platform. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare technology, higher education environments, and integrated service delivery.

Location

This is a remote position. Reviewing candidates across the country.

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead the design of end-to-end technical solutions for new client integrations, platform enhancements, and service expansions.
  • Ensure proposed architectures align with scalability, security, compliance (HIPAA, FERPA), and performance requirements.
  • Leverage deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and system interoperability to support seamless service delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with higher education clients to gather requirements, identify needs, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions meet both business objectives and user experience expectations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in client discussions, product roadmap planning, and RFP responses.

Implementation & Oversight

  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure architecture is implemented as designed, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, diagrams, and playbooks for solution designs and integration patterns.
  • Monitor solution performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in telehealth, higher ed technology, and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, tools, and frameworks that enhance delivery speed and quality.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years in a Sales Engineer or similar role, preferably in healthcare technology, telehealth, or higher education technology.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SaaS architecture.
  • Experience with API integrations, microservices, and enterprise-level system design.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FERPA, SOC 2).
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast‑paced, mission‑driven environments.

Preferred

  • Experience working with EHR/EMR systems or telehealth platforms.
  • Familiarity with higher education administrative systems (e.g., SIS, LMS).
  • Master’s degree in Business or related field.

The salary for this opportunity is $120,000-$125,000 per year, depending on education and experience. This is the base pay. You will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay, to be discussed during the interview process.
