Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Director is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Student Accounts Office, which includes billing, cashiering, payment plans, collections, refunds, and compliance with all federal, state, and university regulations related to student financial activity.
Additionally, the Direction will oversee the university's PCI compliance program, student loan services, and related functions. The Senior Director will drive process improvements, leverage technology to enhance the student experience, and ensure the fiscal integrity of student financial records for all of Georgetown’s campuses and programs.**Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation**This position, reporting directly to the **University’s Controller within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO)**, is integral to the financial stewardship and student success goals of Georgetown University. The Senior Director of Student Accounts serves as a critical leader, directly **supervising the Student Accounts team** and ensuring that the financial processes surrounding the student experience, including but not limited to, billing and payment to refunding and IRS reporting, are executed with accuracy and integrity. The role significantly influences key partners by collaborating closely with the Financial Aid and Registrar's offices to manage student eligibility and enrollment status; with University Information Services (UIS) to maintain and enhance the student financial systems; and with accounting and budget teams for essential general ledger reconciliation, thus directly supporting the University's mission of providing excellent service while maintaining sound fiscal health and regulatory compliance.This position has been designated as Hybrid.
