Job Details We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our well-established construction company. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing construction projects from conception to completion. This role will be the on-site point person, managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

Develop and implement detailed project schedules, construction methods, and strategies.

Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.

Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and personnel.

Manage labor relations with subcontractors and trade staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior management.

Identify and resolve issues or delays to keep the project on track.

Ensure workmanship and materials meet specified standards and codes.

Implement and enforce site safety protocols for all staff and subcontractors.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and conformance to design specifications.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role or similar.

Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety protocols.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with team members, subcontractors, clients, and senior management.

Superior problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Proficiency in construction software and project management tools.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
