Overview
Human Resources professionals in manufacturing play a critical role in supporting hourly and salaried workforces within fast-paced, safety-driven production environments. Partner closely with plant leadership to drive employee engagement, workforce planning, compliance, and operational excellence while ensuring HR practices align with business and production goals. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership, supervisors, and employees Support recruitment and onboarding for hourly and salaried manufacturing roles Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, attendance, corrective action, and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, company policies, and safety standards Support labor relations activities where applicable (union or non-union environments) Assist with workforce planning, scheduling considerations, and talent development initiatives Administer HR programs including benefits, leave management, timekeeping, and HRIS systems Support training initiatives related to leadership development, safety, and compliance Analyze HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, engagement) and recommend improvements Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or production environment Knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices Ability to support both hourly shop-floor employees and salaried leadership Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on, and change-driven environments Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and time & attendance systems
