Responsible for recruiting, screening and extending offers to assigned areas of responsibility to include hourly, entry-level, administrative, technical and managerial level corporate and field management candidates; establish and maintain relationships with staffing agencies; and assist newly hired associates for assigned roles in the relocation process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruit, source and screen candidates for assigned area to include corporate hourly, entry-level, administrative, technical, corporate and DC management and field management candidates. Prepare for management approval documentation for new hire offers for employment, internal promotions and terminations for assigned area of responsibility. Conduct exit interviews for assigned area of responsibility. Assist newly hired associates in the relocation process to include contacting vendors to arrange temporary housing, scheduling of actual move and reviewing expenses for assigned area of responsibility. Weekly reporting on the status of open positions and relocations in assigned areas of responsibility. Monthly reporting on the status and expenses paid for relocating associates. Back up to the Pre-Employment Administrator in scheduling interviews, administering pre-employment testing, preparing Executive and Corporate announcements, notification to departments of newly hired and terminated associates for set-up or removal of access to systems for assigned area of responsibility. Ensure timely and accurate payment of recruitment-related expenses in accordance with company procedures. Process all new hire, termination, and promotion documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and recordkeeping requirements. Conducts new hire orientation for all incoming associates, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and compliance with company policies. Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with various projects and perform other work-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree required. WORK EXPERIENCE: 2 - 5 years Human Resources experience required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented. Knowledge of employment law as it pertains to recruitment. Computer literate: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Lawson and Publisher. Well organized, ability to prioritize work independently. Maintain confidentiality of personnel information. Ability to perform various clerical functions. Excellent phone and customer service skills. The Cato Corporation
