Marine Account Manager
to join our growing team in
Ft. Lauderdale, FL!
Responsibilities
Set up new clients in agency management system, review all the documents including application and binder to ensure accuracy.
Invoice clients and set up appropriate activities.
Deal directly with clients either by telephone, email or face to face.
Keep detailed notes of inquiries and changes to avoid possible E&O.
Keep positive helpful attitude with clients when explaining coverages.
Be able to sell additional coverages and to cross sell other lines of insurance.
Prepare renewal quotation and assist clients how to complete paperwork.
Negotiate with Underwriters when necessary for more favorable rates.
Licenses and Certifications
4-40 or 2-20 State of Florida Insurance License
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks efficiently with a positive, client-focused attitude
Ability to analyze and interpret insurance policies and comfortably explain coverages to clients
Confident in soliciting new business and interacting with underwriters
Skilled in calculating premiums, endorsements, cancellations, and associated taxes and fees
Able to explain audits, premium changes, and underwriting requests in a calm, informative manner
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
Strong written communication skills, including professional email and letter writing
Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
Marine insurance and sales experience (Preferred)
