Duties/Responsibilities Design and Development
Apply instructional design theories and research to create effective online learning experiences.
Apply existing and emerging technologies to the design of instruction.
Design and develop instructional materials aligned with learning objectives.
Select or modify existing instructional materials and solutions based on data to enhance the quality of online learning.
Design formative and summative learning assessments to effectively measure student achievement of learning objectives.
Collect qualitative and quantitative data to assess the quality of online programs.
Identify and respond to ethical and legal implications of design in the workplace.
Communication and Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate data-driven outcomes and articulate revision plans for online programs.
Actively listen to and gather the concerns and feedback from stakeholders.
Provide consultation and support for instructional and technical challenges as needed.
Project Management
Write project implementation plans for instructional design and revision projects.
Effectively manage multiple instructional design or revision projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of high-quality products.
Planning and Analysis
Analyze and enhance course alignment to develop coherent, clear, and effective instructional content.
Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate instructional design solutions and strategies.
Identify and define the scope of instructional design projects based on desired learning outcomes and stakeholder requirements.
Use a data-driven approach to revise and improve curricula, instructional materials, and teaching strategies.
Research
Update and improve knowledge, skills, and attitudes pertaining to the instructional design process and related fields.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or a related field and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
