Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Designer role based in Chappaqua, NY. The Designer will assist customers in creating personalized home décor solutions by providing expert design advice and recommendations. Responsibilities include conducting design consultations, selecting fabrics, creating custom design plans, managing customer projects, and coordinating with team members to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The role also involves maintaining a positive store environment and building strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications
Knowledge of fabric selection and application for window treatments, upholstery, and custom furnishings
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, organize projects, and meet deadlines
Experience using design software or tools, such as CAD, SketchUp, or other relevant programs, is a plus
Creative problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Experience in retail or customer-facing roles is preferred
A background or degree in Interior Design or a related field is advantageous
