Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
for an
acute inpatient rehab setting
at
HCA Florida JFK Hospital .
This role involves assisting Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitation care to patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Assist PTs in implementing
treatment plans
Provide therapy interventions including:
Therapeutic exercises
Gait and mobility training
Balance and strength training
Treat patients with:
Orthopedic conditions
Neurological disorders
Cardiovascular conditions
Monitor patient response and report progress to PT
Maintain accurate documentation in
Meditech
Support patient transfers and mobility activities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
Clinical Highlights
Acute inpatient rehab setting
Exposure to diverse patient populations
Team-based environment (PTs + PTAs + OT)
No night shifts
Scheduling Details
Shift:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekends:
1 weekend per month
(Comp days provided during weekdays)
On-Call:
None
Required Qualifications Active Florida PTA License BLS Certification (AHA required) Minimum
1 year recent experience
in:
Acute Care OR
Inpatient Rehab OR
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Preferred Qualifications Meditech EMR experience Strong inpatient rehab background Experience with orthopedic and neuro patients
Compliance Notes Must have relevant inpatient/rehab experience Must be flexible with scheduling based on patient volume Weekend rotation required
