Your responsibilities will include
Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence
Requirements
Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Clear/active State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license
Current Functional Independence Measure (FIM) required
Experience in appropriate healthcare setting – inpatient rehab – preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Critical thinking and adaptability; services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; general PC skills
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
