Xavier University is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), to join our Student Financial Services team. Job Responsibilities
Manage Financial Aid Operations & Budgeting (COM): Oversee awarding and disbursement of federal, state, institutional, and private aid. Manage financial aid budgets, forecast expenditures, and optimize use of institutional funds.
Provide Student Counseling and Engagement: Deliver financial aid advising, debt management guidance, and workshops to prospective, current, and graduating students.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to financial aid regulations, manage Cost of Attendance (COA), and oversee Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and appeals.
Lead and Collaborate: Supervise an Assistant Director, foster a high‑performing, student‑centered environment, and partner with campus departments to support efficient operations.
Communicate & Report: Develop clear communications and produce internal and external reports on performance, compliance and student outcomes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
At least 5 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.
Wealth of knowledge of federal financial aid, which consists of a variety of complex federal regulations.
Excellent writing and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
Experience with Banner and/or Workday is ideal.
