Job Summary RXR is seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join its Real Estate Credit Group. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment. Candidates should have meaningful underwriting and direct real estate credit investment experience, ideally with floating-rate loan products. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, think critically, and maintain strong attention to detail, while taking ownership of their work and conducting themselves with professionalism and integrity in support of the team’s objectives.

This position is available for immediate hire and reports to the Head of Real Estate Credit in New York City.

Responsibilities

Support the real estate credit team in underwriting and executing a broad range of commercial real estate debt investments, including senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity investments across multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, and office assets nationwide.

Coordinate and manage due diligence throughout the origination, underwriting, and closing processes; liaise with lenders, developers, investors, legal counsel, and other third parties.

Develop detailed financial analyses and investment materials, including complex Excel models, investment committee memoranda, and underwriting packages to evaluate credit opportunities, assess risk, and support investment structuring.

Build and analyze underwriting cash flow projections and multi-tier waterfalls.

Support senior team members in maintaining and developing relationships with brokers, mortgage bankers, commercial banks, developers, and other counterparties as necessary to help source new investment opportunities.

Execute ad hoc projects, as needed, in support of the credit team, including asset/portfolio management, CMBS and CRE CLO analysis, special servicing, and other assignments.

Collaborate across RXR business lines to complete various projects and transactions.

Qualifications Top Competencies:

Experience with CRE debt investment including senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity.

Self-starter who has the initiative and ability to thrive in an environment that is highly entrepreneurial, and which requires rapid learning, multitasking and prioritizing under tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis.

Strong deal execution skills, including due diligence, communicating with external parties.

Well-organized; strong independent work ethic with excellent attention to detail.

Fundamental understanding of real estate and financial concepts.

Tech Savvy: Understands the breadth and depth of real estate systems. Including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, GreenStreet, CoStar, Trepp, Yardi Matrix, AI

Teamwork/Network Building/Interpersonal Savvy: Cooperates and works effectively with others.

Organizational Skills: Detail oriented, proactive, efficient, strategic, ability to multitask.

Effective Communication: Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience and Education

1-2 years of experience working in real estate finance or banking

Major in real estate, finance, accounting, or economics, or related field

Passion for real estate and finance

Outstanding quantitative and analytical ability

Willingness to learn in a demanding, fast-paced environment, often under pressure

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (qualification testing will be performed)

Experience in Argus is a plus

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary/rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, years of service, specialty, education, relevant experience). Bonus eligible.

Pay Range: $95,000 USD - $105,000 USD
