Job Overview
Best Choice Roofing of Greater St. Louis is seeking a Roofing and Siding Sales Team Lead a high-performing outside sales professional who sells full-time while serving as a field leader and example-setter for newer reps.
This role is designed for experienced sales reps who want to grow into leadership without stepping out of sales. Team Leads remain primarily responsible for their own sales results while supporting the team through influence, example, and process reinforcement.
Reports to: Sales Manager
Primary Responsibilities (Sales-Focused Primary Duty)
Leadership responsibilities do not replace or outweigh sales activity.
Secondary Responsibilities (Team Support)
Team Leads do not hire, fire, discipline, set schedules, approve pay, or manage compensation.
All corrective action, performance management, and escalation flows through Sales Management.

Primary Responsibilities (Sales-Focused Primary Duty)
- Generate and close roofing, siding, and gutter sales through in-person, outside sales activities
- Conduct property inspections and present solutions to homeowners
- Work independently in assigned territories meeting customers at their homes
- Manage personal pipeline, follow-ups, and documentation within the CRM system
- Ensure accurate, complete contract packets for smooth handoff to production
- Deliver a professional, high-quality customer experience from inspection through contract

Secondary Responsibilities (Team Support)
- Serve as a field resource for newer sales reps by answering questions and modeling best practices
- Assist with ride-alongs, inspections, or early-stage appointments when requested by management
- Reinforce company sales process, professionalism, and activity standards through example
- Provide feedback to Sales Management on training gaps, field challenges, or process breakdowns

Performance Expectations
- Team Lead status is earned and maintained through consistent personal sales production
- Ongoing eligibility for this role is reviewed regularly based on sales results, professionalism, and adherence to process
- Leadership support responsibilities are secondary and may not materially reduce selling time
- $300 per week base pay
- Uncapped commission on personal sales
- Priority access to company-generated leads (supplemental to personal field activity)
- Paid training and ongoing development
- Monthly and quarterly sales contests and incentives
- Clear, performance-based path to Sales Manager and other leadership roles
- Work is primarily conducted away from the office, meeting customers at their homes
- Evenings and Saturdays are expected to maximize homeowner availability
- Office presence is limited to required meetings (Mondays and Fridays) and assistance with a bi-weekly training
- Proven high performance and success in roofing, siding, or in-home outside sales of at least 1 year.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable climbing ladders and walking roofs
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
- Smartphone proficiency for photos, inspections, and CRM use
