Hagadone Media Montana , a family‑owned company, is seeking an experienced Sales/ Business Development champion to lead and drive growth across our Flathead County markets, including the Daily Inter Lake, Whitefish Pilot, Hungry Horse News, and Bigfork Eagle.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth: Meet assigned monthly revenue targets through individual sales efforts and team collaboration. Drive new business development and retain existing client relationships.
Client Engagement: Spend 70-75% of your time in client meetings or in the field prospecting for new business and maintaining relationships with key accounts.
Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth through the expansion of advertising channels, including digital, podcasts, newsletters, and other emerging media.
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the advertising director to develop revenue‑generating initiatives and launch projects that drive overall business development and sales growth.
Networking: Represent the company at community and business events, networking with key stakeholders and local chambers to promote the company and generate new business opportunities.
Customer Relationships: Maintain excellent relationships with both major and smaller accounts, helping them through a consultative sales process designed to meet their business needs and drive results.
Project Monitoring: Monitor the progress and performance of various business development and sales projects to ensure they are meeting revenue targets and team objectives.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the broader business development and sales objectives of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Sales Expertise: Strong background in business development, account management, and negotiation. Extensive experience with outside sales, B2B strategies, and client relationship management.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement business strategies that align with company goals, including expansion into new media and digital channels.
Self‑Starter: High level of initiative, independence, and a solution‑oriented approach to achieving goals. Strong drive to excel in both selling and managerial functions.
Organization & Efficiency: Highly disciplined, organized, and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, business development, and revenue generation, preferably in the media or advertising sectors.
Strong negotiation, client management, and business development skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and outside sales strategies.
Valid driver's license.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or a related field.
