Business Development Manager Position Details Job Title: Business Development Manager Type of Contract: Full-time Expected Hiring Date: April 2026 Customer Early‑Phase Coordination Coordinates early‑phase customer engagement activities including lobbying, pre‑selling, events, expertise exchanges, prototypes, RFIs and RFQs. Identifies and manages all contributing partners across internal stakeholders (R&I, PLE, APM, Métiers, Competence Center, Plants, Program, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, IP) and external partners (OEMs, suppliers, academia). Collects, analyzes and reports customer needs. Defines the required technical network (skills, resources, timing) to meet product challenges aligned with PO strategic initiatives (innovation bricks, product pillars, partnerships). Provides inputs and coordinates outputs from Métiers / technical expertise fields (PLE, innovation, design, etc.). For new products, prepares and coordinates customer presentations based on R&I inputs (OEM requirements, diversity, product definition, innovation concepts, technical concepts, tooling, logistics, process, quality, planning, patents, benchmarks). Presents and defends applications internally and to OEMs. Validates product inputs for internal milestones (BusCom, innovation milestones, etc.). Development / Production – First Applications Coordinates knowledge transfer to development teams based on innovation and expert insights for first‑time applications (new products or products new to the BU). Participates in end‑of‑project lessons learned. Strategic Roadmap – Business Development Support Interfaces with the innovation team to define product evolutions expected by OEMs and align on product targets (specifications, vehicle integration constraints, weight, cost, etc.). For StratPlan and Customer Strategic Reviews, collaborates with the sales team on product and program positioning and OEM target rating. Provides feedback to innovation regarding innovation roadmaps, targeted products, OEM expectations, suppliers and partners. Develops a customer network mapping for allocated products/customers, identifying key decision‑makers and influencers to support new business generation. Requirements Engineering degree or Master’s degree with significant experience in automotive applications and direct OEM contact.
