
Marketing Operations Manager

ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Operations Manager to support a senior marketing leadership team within a large, fast-paced global organization in Arlington, VA . This 9-month contract role will focus on budget and headcount tracking, business cadence support, planning cycles, and operational execution that helps keep a marketing organization running smoothly.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working behind the scenes with leadership, and able to balance resource planning, business operations, reporting, and cross-functional coordination .
What You’ll Do: Resource Management Maintain and manage budget forecasting tools to ensure financial tracking remains accurate and up to date
Oversee headcount tracking and support workforce planning across the organization
Help monitor resource allocation and support operational decision‑making related to team planning and investment needs
Assist leadership with visibility into staffing, budget, and organizational priorities
Rhythm of Business Coordinate internal business cadences and ensure leaders are prepared for recurring meetings, reviews, and key operational checkpoints
Support planning and execution of cross‑business reviews and leadership updates
Help organize agendas, timelines, deliverables, and materials for business‑critical meetings
Ensure operational processes stay on track across multiple stakeholders and deadlines
Support annual and recurring planning cycles by driving timelines, milestones, and key deliverables
Help coordinate organization‑wide goals, planning activities, and operational readiness efforts
Track progress against planning requirements and ensure follow‑through across teams
Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as business needs evolve
Cross-Functional Operations Support Serve as an operational partner to marketing leadership and act as a liaison across internal teams and global functions
Help connect stakeholders to the right tools, resources, and support teams based on business needs
Support organizational effectiveness by improving visibility, communication, and operational alignment
Contribute to special projects such as organizational planning, investment reviews, or process improvement initiatives
What You’ll Need: Experience in marketing operations, business operations, program coordination, or strategic operations
Strong experience supporting budget tracking, headcount planning, and business operations workflows
Experience managing timelines, deliverables, and recurring business cadences for leadership teams
Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders
Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and stay detail-oriented in a fast‑paced environment
Strong Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to Have: Experience supporting senior leaders in a global or enterprise marketing organization
Background in financial planning, organizational planning, or headcount/resource management
Experience with operational tools, dashboards, or business planning systems
Comfort working across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
