
Real Estate Paralegal

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, and oversee a wide range of real estate documents, such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, deeds, and financing instruments.
Organize and track due diligence materials for both commercial and residential matters.
Examine and summarize title reports, surveys, UCC filings, and related exception documents; draft correspondence addressing title and survey issues.
Liaise with external parties—including title agencies, financial institutions, surveyors, clients, and opposing counsel—to support timely and efficient closings.
Develop and maintain closing checklists, monitor deadlines and contingencies, and manage tasks before and after closing.
Provide support on financing transactions by assisting with loan documentation, escrow packages, and closing statements.
Establish and maintain business entities tied to real estate matters (e.g., LLCs, partnerships), including obtaining EINs and certificates of good standing.
Draft and maintain corporate governance documents such as operating agreements, bylaws, and incorporation materials.
Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support the legal team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program.
Minimum of five years’ experience in a real estate paralegal role within a law firm or in-house legal department.
Strong familiarity with title and survey analysis, closing workflows, and real estate finance documentation.
Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and document management platforms.
Experience with electronic recording systems is preferred.
