Description The Marketing Intern will support MLG Capital’s in-house marketing team across digital strategy, content development, events (internal + external), and marketing analytics (CRM, performance analytics, Semrush, social media). This role offers hands-on exposure to institutional real estate marketing, investor communications, and brand management within a fast-moving, data-driven organization.
The intern will work closely with the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager, contributing to real projects tied to capital raising, investor relations, corporate branding, and internal culture initiatives. This position is ideal for a student interested in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing, with hands-on exposure across real estate, analytics, and event management.
This internship emphasizes execution, learning by doing, and exposure to senior leadership, with opportunities to build a strong professional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Digital & Content Marketing
Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital channels
Assist with creating and scheduling social media content (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram)
Draft copy for social posts, emails, blogs, announcements, and internal communications
Help update website content, landing pages, and other digital assets
Analytics & Reporting
Assist with tracking and reporting on marketing performance and engagement
Help prepare quarterly and ad-hoc reports using existing templates and tools
Maintain organized records of marketing activity, performance, and assets
Events & Brand Support
Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including investor and client-specific events, team conferences, travel-based events, and corporate office initiatives
Assist with event logistics including calendars, invitations, signage, materials, and on-site support
Help update internal office branding elements such as digital signage and displays
Marketing Operations
Help manage the marketing calendar and project timelines
Assist with updating marketing materials, property summaries, and deal highlights
Support data organization and cleanup for marketing and communications use
Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team
Learning & Cross-Functional Exposure
Participate in marketing team meetings and planning sessions
Gain hands-on exposure to marketing execution within an SEC-regulated, Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) environment, including adherence to compliance rules, review processes, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with teams across capital markets, investor relations, asset management, and operations
Qualifications Strong communication, creative and business writing skills
Strong sense of self-motivation and direction; the ability to work independently and seek out projects
Interest in Marketing roles, specifically within Finance, Alternative Investments, Real Estate along with emphasis on analytics
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, and AI (specifically Copilot)
Significant familiarity with social media platforms, (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Ads
Exposure to CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and digital marketing tools (including Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, Power BI, SEMrush, Hotjar, WordPress/Divi, and Hootsuite) is a plus but not required
Good judgment, ethical, and professional
Ability to work successfully both as part of a team and in an independent manner
Ability to work well under tight timelines
Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree marketing, or related field
Reporting Relationship: Interns will report to the Marketing Director. Due to the relatively small size of the MLG Capital team, interns will have exposure to multiple lines of business, and the key VPs, Principals, and President.
Education Requirements To be considered for the Marketing Internship, applicants must meet the following criteria — Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Analytics, or related field. Candidates should be at least a sophomore entering their junior year, with a demonstrated interest in marketing within finance, alternative investments, real estate, or marketing analytics.
Resume must include expected graduation month and year.
Experience :
Candidates must have at least six months of relevant classroom experience in marketing or real estate and demonstrate strong academic performance. Students who are at least a sophomore entering their junior year with an interest in finance, alternative investments, real estate, or marketing analytics are encouraged to apply. Previous marketing or real estate experience is helpful but not required.
Additional Notes:
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate office machinery; including but not limited to: telephone, computer, copy machine, fax machine, printer, and mobile phone. Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and use a computer for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.
Working Conditions: Open office workstation environment, quiet to moderate noise levels.
Schedule Requirements : This position will be available from the end of May 2026 through mid August 2026 and will require 35-40 hours per week.
