Senior Business Requirements Analyst
Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Business Requirements Analyst to support the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). The role is customer‑facing, engaging with senior leadership and user bases, and requires strong business and technical acumen within an Agile delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, harmonize, and document client business requirements and processes; produce conceptual business flows (Visio), data dictionaries, and requirement documents.
Plan and design business processes, recommending improvements to support business activities.
Coordinate creation of user acceptance test scenarios for verifying client requirements in system design.
Collaborate with technical leads and developers to develop and modify system requirement documents.
Sequence detailed user stories and requirements to support sprint planning.
Execute demos and user acceptance testing; analyze results across all phases.
Participate in technical reviews to ensure intent of change is maintained.
Support Product Owners in managing requirements and product features.
Manage requirements and collaboration sessions using JIRA and Confluence.
Research and assess business goals to align IT solutions with business initiatives.
Define and prioritize the backlog to address business and program priorities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of business analyst experience.
Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Expert knowledge of the full requirements gathering process.
Proficiency in building process flows, wireframes, and mockups.
Knowledge of software development life‑cycle methodologies.
Experience with Agile/SCRUM, writing user stories, and following the development process through acceptance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance (residency in the US for 3 of the last 5 years).
Desired Qualifications
Enterprise‑level experience with large IT infrastructures.
Process‑driven approach to requirements gathering and documentation.
Professional Agile certification.
Experience with documentation and low‑code platforms (Appian, FIGMA, Pega, etc.).
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Self‑motivated, highly organized.
Ability to communicate succinctly at senior leadership levels.
Job Details Work Location:
USA MD Home Office (MDHOME) with onsite requirement at GDIT office in Gaithersburg, MD or Silver Spring, MD 2‑3 days per week; travel not reimbursed.

Compensation Range:
$124,093 – $161,000 (subject to experience, location, and contractual requirements).
