
Compliance Lending Specialist

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for lending compliance. Specialist will apply critical thinking skills to scenarios encountered and identify any potential issues. Communicate identified issues with business process owners to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
Major Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)
Loan File Compliance Reviews of consumer and commercial loan files to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, including Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and Flood Disaster Protection Act.
TRID Disclosure Oversight: Evaluate compliance with TRID rules and requirements.
Fair Lending Monitoring & Analysis
Flood Compliance Review
Issue Findings outlining corrective action recommendations.
Review files looking for compliance with Fair credit Reporting Act.
Review our CRA program.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Obtain and maintain current knowledge of changes in banking and financial compliance related laws and regulations regarding Fair Lending, TRID, Flood, Advertisements, CRA.
Good understanding of HMDA/ CRA and Retail Banking including IRA compliance regulations.
Travels to bank locations in Nebraska and Kansas as needed to coordinate training and procedure implementation.

Education and Work Experience
At least five years of experience working in compliance with a focus on TRID.
Technical/Functional Competencies
Effective verbal and written communication skills including ability to interact with all levels of management.
At least 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in lending compliance, data collection and reporting. This individual will need to have knowledge regarding fair lending and TRID regulatory requirements. In addition, this position will require the individual to have a working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of mortgage, commercial or business loan, and consumer loan processing; and the ability to review Loan Presentations and financial statements.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Exhibit leadership skills with a strong ability to communicate.
