The Role: A highly regarded, design-driven interior design studio based in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities: Lead high-end residential projects across all phases, from concept development through construction and final styling Collaborate closely with architects and builders to integrate interior design strategies into architectural plans from the outset Develop and present cohesive design concepts, including materials, finishes, furnishings, and custom details Oversee space planning, ensuring functionality, flow, and alignment with the overall design vision Produce and review detailed construction documentation, including millwork, cabinetry, and lighting packages Manage project timelines, budgets, and consultant coordination to ensure successful delivery Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear, thoughtful, and professional communication Lead client presentations and project meetings with confidence and clarity Conduct regular site visits to address field conditions, resolve challenges, and uphold design intent Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs in collaboration with project teams Source and specify high-end FF&E, including custom furniture and bespoke elements Oversee procurement and installation processes to ensure a seamless final outcome Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing studio culture

Key Skills / Requirements: Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited institution 8+ years of professional experience, with a strong focus on high-end residential projects Proven ability to lead projects independently through all phases of design and construction Strong technical knowledge, including construction detailing, millwork design, and documentation standards Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants on complex custom homes Excellent design sensibility with a refined eye for materials, proportion, and detail Confident client-facing skills with the ability to manage high-profile relationships Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) Experience with FF&E specification, sourcing, and procurement processes Familiarity with project budgeting, scheduling, and tracking tools
