Product Owner – Digital Banking (Mobile Application Modernization)
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ | Work Model: Hybrid
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support a large-scale Mobile Application Modernization and Development program within the Digital Banking space. This role sits one level below Consulting Manager and will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to define product strategy, translate business vision into actionable delivery items, and maximize customer and business value in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the product strategy aligned to digital banking and mobile application modernization objectives.
Define, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Translate business vision and requirements into clear epics, features, and well-defined user stories.
Ensure user stories are actionable, testable, and deliver measurable customer and business value.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, QA, architecture, and business stakeholders to drive successful delivery.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for product-related decisions and clarifications during delivery.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Product Owner within digital banking or financial services environments.
Strong experience defining product strategy and managing product backlogs in Agile delivery models.
Demonstrated ability to translate business vision into epics, features, and user stories.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consulting or enterprise environment.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
Work Mode This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Mt. Laurel, NJ, USA.
Pay Transparency Statement (New York) In compliance with the New York City Pay Transparency Law, the annual base salary range for this position is USD 110,000 – 129,000. This range represents the anticipated base salary for this role and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits, bonuses, and other forms of compensation consistent with company policy.
