
Customer Service Representative

Position Summary
The CSR responds to member requests via telephone, email, and personal visits to support a positive customer-service experience. CSRs must work closely with each other and the Billing department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and process cash receipts, including credit card
Create cash batches, balance checks and stubs, enter payments into system, balance total daily cash receipts, and prepare daily cash sheets.
Prepare bank deposits and deliver to bank as needed.
Assist walk-in, web based, and drive-thru consumers in completion of membership application forms, bill payment, and other consumer transactions.
Greet and promptly accommodate consumers and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Accurately direct consumers and visitors to appropriate personnel or
Answer telephone calls from consumers and answer questions, take payments or transfer to appropriate personnel or location.
Assist consumers with payment arrangements as
Assist with daily meter data management tasks and any related phone calls to
Ensure all reports, documents, and items required by all the Controlling Authorities for Customer Service are maintained.
Perform routine customer account maintenance such as set up/change/delete auto-pays, average billing, address changes, and scanning.
Accurately create and enter new customer information into computer system and process related
Pick up and/or deliver mail to/from the post
Perform other duties as requested by Billing and Customer Service
Qualifications
High School Degree or equivalent
Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical computations.
Must be personable and customer oriented.
One to two years business office experience preferred.
Ensure all assignments/transactions are completed with attention to detail and accuracy.
Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive
Must be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Must be able to interact well with internal and external customers, handling inquiries and/or composing correspondence.
Always conveys professional interaction, thereby maintaining positive relations.
Displays and encourages team effort for maximum efficiency and productivity.
A high degree of integrity, pleasant disposition, and extreme tact are essential.
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple
Ability to consistently compute and record numbers
Ensure record-keeping procedures are
Perform work that is routine and detail-oriented accurately and
Must be able to operate standard company technology/equipment, including a working knowledge of a personal computer, of Microsoft programs and other software applications pertinent to the Cooperative’s system (Excel, Word, and Windows operating system).
Must be able to attend periodic seminars and training
Must be able to work and focus in an open format office space with
Must hold a valid driver’s license at the level necessary to operate vehicles in the performance of position responsibilities.
Maintains thorough working knowledge of Cooperative Bylaws, policies, procedures, and safety manual.
Physical Demands Frequently operates standard office machines including computer, copy machine, and fax. Frequent use of office machines requiring touch and vision for close work.
Frequently carries trays of mail to the Post Office and must be able to lift 10 pounds safely. Normal activities require extensive amounts of standing and the work environment is 100% indoors in normal office conditions.
