About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Wilderness Medical Staffing to find a qualified Urgent Care NP in Alaska!
Join a dedicated team in providing urgent care services in beautiful Southeast Alaska! We are looking for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who thrive in a fast‑paced urgent care environment and value flexibility, as well as the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships in a rural setting. Providers will also have the opportunity to incorporate primary care shifts in their rotations, offering additional clinical variety. This is a beautiful location in SE Alaska with access to plenty of amenities. We are looking for NPs who are able to start ASAP and provide ongoing rotations. Southeast Alaska
Date Range:
Immediate need with ongoing rotations
Multiple providers needed for ongoing rotations!
Schedule Schedule:
3‑5 Urgent Care shifts per week
Clinic is open 7 days/week, 8:00am‑8:00pm (12‑hour shifts)
No Call
Provider will have the option to pick up either UC or PC shifts at different sites to extend rotations!
Compensation
$97.00 hourly rate
$145.50 hourly overtime rate (over 40hrs/week)
$145.50 hourly holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure), paid 8 hrs each at the regular hourly rate
Responsibilities
Staffing Mix: 1 additional APP, MA, Receptionist, Security
Treat acute illness and injuries
Lacerations, Sprains, Strains, Infections
Minor Procedures
Occasional Moderate‑Acuity stabilization prior to referral/transfer

Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with the State of Alaska
Board Certified
Active BLS, ACLS
Active DEA registration
Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
