Our client, a wholesale apparel manufacturing brand, is seeking a Designer - Fleece & Athleisure, to join their team in New York!
Responsibilities
Design and develop fleece and athleisure collections across multiple seasons, from concept through final production
Create flat sketches, CADs, and detailed tech packs to support product development
Partner closely with merchandising to align on assortment strategy, trends, and target customer
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new trends, fabrics, and silhouettes
Collaborate with technical design and production teams to ensure fit, quality, and construction standards are met
Participate in fittings and communicate updates to overseas factories and vendors
Source fabrics, trims, and washes appropriate for fleece and athleisure categories
Manage development timelines and ensure all milestones are met within the production calendar
Qualifications
4–7+ years of design experience, with a focus on fleece, activewear, or athleisure
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience creating tech packs and working within PLM systems
Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit for knit and fleece categories
Ability to identify trends and translate them into commercially viable product
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with overseas factories and cross‑functional teams
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
$80k-100k depending on experience
