Overview This temporary position is responsible for assisting with branding activities for RTP Company. We are seeking a detail-oriented, team player to work in the Marketing Communications Department, focusing on graphic design projects, PowerPoint presentations, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Graphic design projects PowerPoint presentations Other duties as assigned Work Schedule This onsite internship entails 40 hours of work per week during the summer, and part-time flexible hours during the fall and winter semesters (between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday). Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and meeting deadlines are required. Must be self-motivated, collaborative, and flexible. Attendance is an essential function of the position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Education And Experience Coursework toward a 2-year or 4-year degree in Graphic Design or Marketing. In-depth knowledge of MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint. Basic familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop required. 1 year of relevant experience is preferred. Physical Requirements And Working Conditions Regularly Communicates via phone, e-mail, in person. Required to sit, perform keyboard work, for prolonged periods of time. Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer. Required to stand, walk, or stoop, use hands to handle objects; talk and/or hear. Occasionally Lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Standard office environment. The noise level is usually low, due to office equipment. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
