We’re looking for a talented and motivated Site Civil Engineer Designer to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in delivering commercial, industrial, and municipal projects from concept through construction documents — working alongside a collaborative group of engineers and designers who take pride in their craft and support each other’s growth. In the role of Civil 3D Designer - Site Civil, we'll count on you to: Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and a multi-discipline team to maintain design intent and model integrity as projects evolve. Apply AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu for redline markups. Support the design and production of site civil construction documents related to Federal, Power, Architectural, Water/Wastewater, and Industrial Clients. Develop site civil design improvements in Civil 3D including site layout of driveways, parking and sidewalks, grading, storm water management, drainage, utility systems, and erosion and sediment control. Build and manage surface and utility profile models in Civil 3D including gravity and pressure pipe networks. Develop and prepare detailed construction drawings in Civil 3D to ensure that the files and plans adhere to HDR and/or client standards. Organize and manage model files, references, and data shortcuts to keep projects running smoothly. Demonstrate an understanding of site civil design concepts including earthwork, surfaces, site grading, profiles and pipe networks. Apply familiarity with Revit to coordinate workflows between Civil 3D and architectural/structural BIM models. Apply knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for project collaboration and document management. Maintain an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in site civil design, using Civil 3D Understanding of site civil design concepts, industry standards and practices Navisworks, MicroStation and OpenRoads experience is welcomed #LI-CV1 Required Qualifications Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools Experience with 3D Coordination tools Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts What We Believe HDR is our company.
