Responsibilities

Customs Documentation: Ensuring all necessary customs documentation, such as import declarations and certificates of origin, are accurately prepared and submitted.

Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date with import regulations and ensuring that shipments comply with import laws, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Communication: Liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and other parties involved in the import process to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.

Tracking Shipments: Monitoring the movement of goods from the point of origin to the final destination, keeping stakeholders informed of any delays or changes in the shipment schedule.

Inventory Management: Updating inventory records and systems to reflect incoming shipments and ensuring accurate stock levels.

Cost Management: Calculating import duties, taxes, and other fees associated with importing goods and ensuring that costs are properly accounted for.

Problem Resolution: Addressing any discrepancies or problems with shipments, such as damaged goods or missing documentation, and working to resolve them efficiently.

Customer Service: Providing support and assistance to internal and external customers regarding import-related inquiries and issues.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of import regulations are essential for success in this role.

Imports

Knowledgeable in air and ocean import general processes

General understanding of bonded procedures, 7512, ISF, warehouse entry, consumption entry

Track and trace shipments

Arrange payment to vendors, carrier, airlines, etc.

Arrange customs formalities

Arrange pickup and delivery to final consignee

Maintain communication with customers and build good relationship between agent, overseas partners, customers, vendors, etc.

Qualifications

Works well in group / team setting

Can work under pressure and understand how to work in order of priority
