Position Summary The Assistant Golf Professional supports all aspects of golf operations, including daily play, tournaments, instruction, and merchandising. This position plays a key role in delivering a high-quality golf experience while contributing to a positive and team-oriented environment.
Golf Operations
Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
Manage daily tee sheet operations, including check-in and pace of play
Execute opening and closing procedures of the golf shop
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop
Tournament Operations
Assist in the execution of member events, leagues, and outside outings
Support tournament setup, scoring, and results using golf software systems
Ensure a high-quality experience for all participants
Instruction
Provide private and group instruction to players of all skill levels
Assist with junior golf programs, clinics, and camps
Utilize teaching technology to enhance instruction
Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and retail sales
Stay current on golf equipment and apparel trends
Team Leadership & Facility Support
Work collaboratively with outside services staff to ensure seamless operations
Assist in training and supervising part-time staff
Uphold club standards and presentation
Professional Development
Actively pursue advancement through the PGA of America education program
Exhibit professionalism in all interactions
Contribute positively to the team environment
Requirements
PGA Associate or actively pursuing membership in the PGA of America
Previous experience in golf operations, instruction, or customer service
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Compensation
Hourly wage: $16–$22/hour+
100% of Income from Junior Golf and Private Lessons
Event Bonuses and Gratuities
Meals while on shift
Practice/Playing privileges
Eligible for staff equipment agreement
PGA Dues Paid
Cell Phone Stipend
