This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.
Overview Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Global Events Specialist to work on The Global Events Team, supporting marquee third‑party industry events and Brand proprietary events. This position will report to the Global Events Specialist (Contract) and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast‑growing company in a truly international environment. The ability to travel 40‑50% is essential for this role.
Additional Reporting This role will report to the Sr. Global Events Manager at Palo Alto Networks.
Location - US Hybrid / 3X a week from office in Santa Clara CA
Duration - 12 months
Key Responsibilities This position calls for someone who possesses an events/marketing background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self‑starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal‑oriented in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
Support the event lead and extended team in the planning of events 13+ events annually across Industry and Proprietary categories.
Process and manage logistics and administrative requirements in support of events.
Manage coordination of shipments, booth‑staff schedules, meeting scheduling support, opening POs and more.
Participate in planning meetings and calls.
On‑site attendance at events to provide operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
2‑4 years experience in a marketing organization.
Software/Security marketing experience is a plus.
Background in either tradeshow, meetings, or general events is a must.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 40%) for onsite event support.
Compensation The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $55/hour to $60/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits. Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
