Position: Dog Groomer
As the leading provider of pet care services across Australia, Kip Happy Stays sets the benchmark for excellence, ensuring every pet receives the ultimate in care and enrichment during their stay.
And, we are now on the howl for a dog mad, get-your-hands-dirty-and-your-shirt-furry Groomer to join our Kip Sydney community. The site operates Monday to Friday, and there is no weekend or public holiday work required.
Remuneration $35 - $40 per hour dependent on skills and experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process
Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles
Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have
General grooming responsibilities such as but not limited to dematting/detangling hair, bathing and drying, nail trims, ear cleans
Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations
Frequent cleaning and upkeep of work station
Building and maintaining rapport with our dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
Daily administration such as answering grooming enquiries through email and phone, record keeping, making bookings
Key requirements:
Previous grooming experience is essential
Ability to carry out breed specific clips in a timely manner and with no supervision
Able to handle larger breed dogs
High level of communication and empathetic in nature
Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be physically demanding
Comfortable with computer systems (emails, booking platform) and phone applications
