Position Summary:

The Sr. Human Resources Specialist provides comprehensive support in staffing, certifications, workflow management, onboarding, records administration, and data integrity for all employees. This role serves as a key resource for management and employees, consulting to identify, evaluate, and resolve employee-related issues while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Support documentation, audits, and required reporting.

Monitor internal staffing practices and systems to maintain ongoing compliance.

Staffing & Workforce Integration

Oversee personnel transactions in the HRIS system.

Support staffing processes across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding.

Oversee pre‑employment process and ensures staffing actions align with policy and operational needs.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring workflows and ensure timely onboarding.

Operations & Process Management

Provide operational guidance and support to HR Specialists.

Assist with documentation and workflow management to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Coordinate and support special projects and initiatives.

Customer Service & Stakeholder Support

Process and respond to HR inquiries received via phone, email, providing timely and professional support to all stakeholders.

Contribute to maintaining high standards of customer service across HR.

Serve a resource for cross‑team coordination and contribute to process improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

Minimum of three (3) years HR related experience.

Working knowledge of general HR practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years HR related experience.

Demonstrated ability to handle fast paced, high volume workload.

Strong customer service orientation.

Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.

Physical Demands This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, and reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, and lift objects of at least ten pounds. Job requires the employee occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Terms of Employment Length of work year: 12 months, 7.5 hours per day/ 5 days per week; 260 workdays
