Regional Sales Manager
We are seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our Conveyor Components, Equipment, Systems and Services sales team. This individual will be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and working cross-functionally with our internal engineering and production teams. This role is ideal for a self-starter with experience in the distribution, material handling, and factory automation markets and a proven track record in industrial and OEM sales. Role and Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager's responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Drive growth of both Woodsage and Ashland Conveyor Products conveyor systems through existing and prospective customers. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets. Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across OEM and industrial markets. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue potential. Maintain strong relationships with engineers, buyers, and operations leaders at key customer accounts. Prepare and deliver customer quotes, ensuring pricing aligns with material cost, labor, and market expectations. Active pipeline development and management with a focus on increasing active customers and growing volume sales. Develop product knowledge and expertise to serve as a resource to customers. Maintain a high level of rapport with customers and establish an open line of communication. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategy. Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and plant tours as required (travel 3050%). Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. May consider equivalent experience. 3+ years of sales experience preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors. New business development and proven sales experience. Solid mechanical aptitude required. Excellent interpersonal skills with a consultative selling style. Experience working in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.). Willingness to travel regionally and nationally. Experience selling to conveyor OEMs, material handling companies, or heavy equipment manufacturers. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and custom-to-order production environments. Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Results oriented and performance driven. Strong decision making and negotiation skills. Ability to adapt to changes in a fast pace environment. Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work. Detail oriented. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office.
