This Sales Manager role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dealership setting and wants more than just maintaining the status quo. This position will oversee an existing sales team while playing a key role in driving performance, building structure, and supporting continued growth.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who brings energy, accountability, and a strong presence on the sales floor. Someone who leads from the front, creates momentum, and knows how to motivate a team to perform.
Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a sales team within a retail dealership environment
• Drive daily sales activity, follow-up, and customer engagement across the team
• Recruit, hire, and train additional sales staff as the department grows
• Establish structure, accountability, and consistency in the sales process
• Maintain visibility into performance, pipeline activity, and department metrics
• Partner with leadership on sales strategy and growth initiatives
• Support marketing efforts and promotional initiatives that drive traffic and sales
• Participate in and help lead customer events and sales-focused activities
• Ensure a high-quality customer experience from initial contact through close
Qualifications
• 5+ years of sales management experience within a dealership or similar retail sales environment (automotive, RV, powersports, equipment, or similar)
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a sales team
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the sales floor
• Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
• Experience working with CRM systems and tracking sales performance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of sales metrics and basic P&L performance
Compensation
Base salary starting at $75,000, plus commission and performance-based bonuses. Total earning potential is strong for someone who is motivated and driven to build and lead a successful team.
