We are seeking a
Corporate Banking Relationship Manager
to join Zions Bancorporation. The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager plays a key role in generating and servicing a wide variety of corporate banking loans, contributing to deposit growth, and expanding client relationships through cross selling and promoting additional banking products. This position aggressively pursues quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling efforts. The role requires expert skills in applicant interviewing, perceptive character judgment, loan structuring, credit analysis, and monitoring credit performance. As a leader in managing a large corporate banking portfolio, you will build and maintain relationships that drive a high degree of customer satisfaction and serve as a spokesperson on specialized projects impacting the organization’s long-term goals.
Responsibilities
Generate and service a wide variety of corporate banking loans.
Contribute to deposit growth by cross selling and promoting additional banking products.
Aggressively seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling efforts.
Conduct applicant interviews and exercise perceptive character judgment.
Structure loans and perform credit analysis.
Monitor credit performance and manage a large corporate banking portfolio.
Build and maintain client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Provide solutions to unusually complex problems using independent judgment.
Serve as organization spokesperson on specialized projects or programs.
Act as prime consultant on large projects affecting the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
Qualifications
10+ years of commercial lending or other directly related experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications).
Expert knowledge of corporate banking loans, credit analysis, lending, loan processing, and closing processes.
Strong sales ability and experience expanding corporate banking loans and client relationships.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
Demonstrated ability to manage a large corporate banking portfolio.
Experience working under consultative direction toward long-range targets.
Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, or a related field.
