Position Summary The Mechanical Designer designs and optimizes mechanical components and assemblies, delivering precise 3D models and manufacturing‑ready drawings using CAD software.
Duties And Responsibilities
Create CAD configuration models
Ensure accuracy of CAD configuration models
Transfer CAD BOMs to EPR system
Work with Project teams in Product Development
Creation of model configurations assemblies. Possible manufacture drawings
ATTRIBUTES
In-depth knowledge of CAD standards and CAD process’s
In-depth understanding of Engineering and modeling practices
Understanding of Development processes within the LSI Engineering department
Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects at a time
Knowledge of the ERP system and how it will affect Engineering documentation
Develop an understanding and knowledge of historical categories and thought process
Qualifications
Associate degree in design/engineering and/or 3-7 years’ experience in an Engineering environment
2-3 years’ experience in drafting and/or modeling environment
Knowledge in Configuration Management practices
Compensation The target hourly range is $30.00 - $37.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job‑related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit‑sharing opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full‑time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; paid time off and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
