Social Media Content Creator & Executive Assistant

Position Overview Michels Communications Corporation is seeking a Social Media Content Creator & Executive Assistant to work directly with the Vice President & Director of Digital Marketing. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who wants real experience in content creation, marketing execution, and business operations—not just entry-level tasks. You will play a key role in helping produce content, support campaigns, and keep marketing initiatives moving forward across multiple brands and clients. What You’ll Do Content Creation & Social Media Capture high-quality video and photo content Create reels, short-form video, and platform-specific content Assist with posting and managing content across: Facebook Instagram TikTok LinkedIn YouTube Stay on top of trends and implement what’s currently working Editing & Production Edit content for engagement, clarity, and performance Use tools such as Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar Ensure content aligns with brand standards and messaging Executive & Marketing Support Work directly with the VP of Digital Marketing on campaigns and initiatives Assist with organizing projects, timelines, and deliverables Help coordinate marketing efforts across multiple clients and platforms Support execution of digital campaigns and internal projects Performance & Optimization Track engagement and basic performance metrics Identify opportunities to improve content and results Assist with reporting and campaign adjustments Execution & Problem Solving Take initiative and complete tasks without constant direction Adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment Bring ideas, test them, and refine based on performance Who This Role Is For This role is for someone who: Wants to learn fast and gain real marketing experience Is creative but also organized and accountable Can handle multiple projects at once Takes ownership and follows through Is comfortable working in a high-performance environment Qualifications Required: Strong interest in social media and content creation Basic ability to shoot and edit video content Organized and detail-oriented Strong communication skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Preferred: Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools Understanding of social media trends and algorithms Interest in digital marketing, advertising, or business growth Key Skills Content creation and storytelling Video editing and production Social media management Organization and time management Communication and collaboration Attention to detail Personal Attributes Creative and proactive Competitive and driven Reliable and accountable Willing to learn and improve Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Opportunity Part-time / Full-time Hands-on experience with real campaigns and clients Direct exposure to executive-level marketing strategy Opportunity for future full-time growth About Michels Communications Corporation Michels Communications Corporation is a Sioux Falls-based marketing and media company specializing in digital advertising, content strategy, and regional publications.
