Business Development Associate

As a Business Development Associate, you'll play a critical role in scaling our sales and revenue operations with businesses that serve the public sector. As a member of the revenue team, you'll work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success and Analytics to identify pipeline opportunities, engage thoughtfully with potential customers, and improve our go-to-market efficiency. You will work hand in hand with Account Executives to expand top of funnel opportunities with upmarket and enterprise prospects while also engaging directly with and closing inbound customers of your own with smaller accounts.
If you have an entrepreneurial ownership mentality, you're a skilled communicator and partnerships-builder, but also eager to build your analytical and strategic skills this may be for you! This is a well-rounded role that is immediately external facing but also allows you to be involved in learning how to operate core business functions internally.
Responsibilities:
Research & identify prospective customers
Execute outbound outreach across email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.
Respond to and qualify inbound leads
Collaborate with Sales and Product to refine messaging and targeting
Manage the full sales cycle to close with downmarket prospects
Build and iterate on a repeatable process to improve your own workflow and support a growing team
Contribute to our sales strategy and product development as we expand our product offering to more customer segments
Requirements:

Ideal but not required:

1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer-facing, or similar roles

This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. We enjoy working together in person. We support a hybrid work environment: most of our team members spend 3 days in our San Francisco office and the other days working from home. Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation at Pavilion consists of salary and equity. The salary for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 per year. We also provide health benefits and a 401K with matching.
