Position: Healthcare Sales (Hospice Care Consultant)

Location: Dallas, TX (75231)

On-Site – Metro Dallas Travel (required)

Compensation: $85,000-110,000/year (based upon experience)

Eligible for discretionary bonuses; participation in medical, dental, vision and 401(k) retirement plan.

Job Summary Vaco is partnering with a national healthcare/hospice organization that is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant (Healthcare Sales). This is a relationship-driven marketing professional responsible for generating early and appropriate hospice referrals. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and growing partnerships with physicians, healthcare facilities, discharge planners, social workers, and other referral sources. The HCC serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring the company’s mission and values are consistently represented while meeting targeted admissions and revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong, consultative relationships with healthcare professionals and referral partners.

Execute strategic marketing plans to meet admissions, census, and revenue targets.

Educate the community, referral sources, patients, and families about hospice services.

Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support organizational goals.

Represent the company at community events and professional meetings.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.

Maintain effective internal communication with admissions and clinical teams.

Support budget development and community outreach initiatives.

Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and consistent promotion of company values.

Qualifications

Must have at least 3+ years of experience in healthcare, hospital, hospice, medical sales.

Must have existing relationships with local healthcare professionals, hospitals, doctors.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications.

Strong communication, organizational, and consultative selling skills.

Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain professionalism.

Sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and their families.

Must have reliable transportation for travel in the metro Dallas area.

Work Environment & Skills

Work occurs in healthcare facilities, the community, and occasionally patient homes.

Potential exposure to healthcare-related environmental risks.

Requires knowledge of hospice services, community resources, and interdisciplinary care.

Must demonstrate compassion, flexibility, tact, and patient advocacy.
