You’ll be the on‑site leader driving safety, quality, schedule, and day‑to‑day operations, with a strong emphasis on ground‑up construction and CM@R delivery. You’ll also play a key role in project pursuits, representing the team in interviews and helping secure future work.
What You’ll Lead
Serve as the Lead Superintendent from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on ground‑up and addition projects in the education and municipal sectors.
Oversee all daily field operations, including subcontractor management, site logistics, safety, and quality control.
Build, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
Use construction management software to track progress, coordination, and documentation.
Collaborate closely with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to keep the project moving efficiently.
Participate in interviews, presentations, and pursuit efforts for new CM@R opportunities.
Foster a positive, solutions‑oriented jobsite culture that supports teamwork and professional excellence.
What You Bring
Ground‑up construction experience on Higher Education, K‑12, and/or Civic projects—this is essential.
Proven success delivering:
Municipal projects in the $5M–$20M range
K‑12 education projects in the $25M–$40M range
Strong understanding of Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) delivery.
Proficiency with construction management platforms and scheduling tools.
Ability to develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules.
Strong communication skills and confidence participating in interviews for new work.
A leadership style that balances accountability, collaboration, and respect.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to clearly articulate past project experience, including size, scope, sector, and your leadership role.
Experience coordinating complex site logistics and managing multiple subcontractor teams.
A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.
Work Environment This is an on‑site leadership role based at active project locations. You’ll be the face of the project in the field, working closely with teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 – $130000.00/yr.
