PROFESSIONAL DUTIES (Major Duties of the Position)
Lead and support the research, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of MRVED programs and services aligned to member district needs and educational priorities.
Design, facilitate, and evaluate high-quality professional learning experiences, including district and cross-district initiatives (e.g., common professional development days).
Provide leadership and guidance to member districts in school improvement efforts, including curriculum development, instructional practices, and alignment to standards and assessments.
Support districts in the effective collection, analysis, and application of student and program data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
Collaborate with the MRVED Board and Advisory Councils to align services with district goals and regional priorities.
Maintain current knowledge of educational research, best practices, and legislative developments to inform service delivery and leadership decisions.
Support organizational operations in partnership with the Executive Director, including:
Public relations and communication efforts
Fiscal planning and monitoring
Compliance with state and federal requirements
Attend Board meetings and serve as recorder of official minutes as assigned.
Represent MRVED at conferences, meetings, and professional networks to promote services, strengthen partnerships, and expand organizational capacity.
Utilize and model effective use of technology to enhance productivity, communication, and service delivery.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret, apply, and communicate student and organizational data.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences.
Knowledge and application of technology tools that support both operational efficiency and instructional practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field required; advanced degree, licensure, or relevant graduate coursework preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching, educational leadership, or a related field.
Demonstrated knowledge of current educational research, instructional best practices, and school improvement processes.
Familiarity with state and federal regulations relevant to public education.
