A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist position is available for the 2025/2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Andover, MA. This contract role involves providing essential mobility instruction to students across various grade levels, helping visually impaired or blind students enhance their independence and navigation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver orientation and mobility services tailored to individual student needs for K-12 students.
Assess and develop strategies to improve students' spatial awareness and travel skills.
Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to integrate mobility goals into educational plans.
Maintain accurate records and progress reports consistent with school policies.
Participate in relevant meetings and professional development as required.
Qualifications
Active Orientation and Mobility (O&M) License in Massachusetts.
Proven experience working with students in a K-12 educational setting.
Available onsite Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM.
Ability to manage a caseload spanning various ages and developmental stages.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location and Schedule
Full-time position based onsite in Andover, MA.
Hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM.
Contract duration aligned with the school year.
