Truss Design Project Manager (Sales)
Garfield Truss Company, Garfield, MN, United States
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Garfield Truss is growing—and we’re looking for a Truss Design Project Manager with a sales mindset to help us serve high-end residential builders, contractors, and lumberyards with precision, creativity, and reliability.
This is not a typical desk job. You’ll be at the center of the action—working directly with customers, solving structural challenges, coordinating production, and ensuring every project runs smoothly from concept to delivery.
Garfield is not a typical place to work. We are in the heart of Minnesota’s Lakes Region. Our team gets to live where most people vacation. The best recreational lakes are within a short distance of our plant. You could go home to the lake every day!
What You’ll Do
Design roof and floor truss systems using industry software (Alpine)
Work directly with contractors, builders, and lumberyards to scope and estimate projects
Manage projects from initial quote through production and delivery
Collaborate with our production team to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Solve complex framing and structural challenges with creative, buildable solutions
Communicate timelines, pricing, and design decisions clearly to customers
What We’re Looking For
Experience in truss design, component manufacturing, or structural framing
Understanding of residential construction practices
Ability to balance technical design + customer-facing sales
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with truss design software preferred (MiTek, Alpine, etc.)
Why Garfield Truss?
We’re not a high-volume, low-touch operation. Our customers come to us because:
We solve problems others can’t
We care about the details
You’ll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, relationships, and continuous improvement —with the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
Competitive salary (based on experience)
Performance-based incentives
Opportunity to grow into a key leadership role
Who This Role Is Perfect For
A truss designer who wants more ownership and customer interaction
Someone who enjoys solving real-world building challenges—not just pushing paperwork
Someone who loves the lake life and wants to live where they play
If you’re ready to build something meaningful—with a team that values quality and relationships—apply today or reach out directly.
