Role: Accounts Collections Specialist Rate: 25-27hr Duration: 6 month contract to hire Location: onsite Mon-Fri in Tampa, FL Details: The National Accounts Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding balances from key national and strategic accounts. This role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payment, minimizing delinquency, and supporting overall cash flow objectives. The specialist works cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams to resolve billing issues and drive account resolution. Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of national and high-value customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices Proactively contact customers regarding past due balances via phone and email correspondence Analyze aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and account status Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to resolve disputes and billing discrepancies Research and reconcile account issues, including short payments, unapplied cash, and disputed invoices Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activities in internal systems Monitor customer payment trends and escalate high-risk accounts as needed Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable
